If, after studying the Bible and learning about Jesus Christ, you feel you may be ready for the next step — perhaps something has stirred in you, a sense of conviction, a longing to be forgiven, or a quiet but growing certainty that Jesus is who He said He is — then take a moment and review what follows. There is no pressure here, and no formula to recite. This is between you and God alone. Read slowly, honestly, and with an open heart.

Accepting Jesus as Your Saviour — Are You Ready?
A Prayer of Salvation

Ready? If yes, pray this prayer — aloud if you are able, or sincerely in your heart:

Lord Jesus, I come to You now, just as I am.

I know that I am a sinner. I have fallen short of Your standard, and I cannot save myself. I am sorry — truly sorry — for the sins I have committed and for the life I have lived apart from You.

I believe that You are the Son of God. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins, that You bore the punishment I deserved, and that You rose again from the dead. Your Word tells me that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved — and so I am calling on You now.

I repent of my sins. I turn from the old life and I turn toward You. I ask You to forgive me — completely and freely, as Your Word promises. Wash me clean. Make me new.

I receive You now, Lord Jesus, as my personal Saviour and my Lord. Come into my life. Be the centre of it. I am Yours.

Guide me by Your Holy Spirit. Help me to read Your Word, to walk in Your ways, and to live from this day forward for Your glory — not my own.

I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ.

Amen.

Welcome — What Happens Next

If you prayed that prayer sincerely — from the heart, not merely the lips — then something has happened that heaven itself takes notice of. Jesus said that there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth (Luke 15:10). That includes you, today, in this moment.

You may not feel dramatically different right away, and that is perfectly normal. Salvation is not a feeling — it is a transaction between you and God, sealed by His promise and not by your emotions. His Word is clear:

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9

You have taken the most important step a person can ever take. Here is what the Christian life ahead of you looks like — and what will help you grow:

  • Read the Bible daily. Start with the Gospel of John. Let God speak to you through His Word. This site exists to help you do exactly that — use it freely.
  • Talk to God in prayer. Prayer is simply conversation with your Father. There is no script required. Tell Him what is on your heart. He hears you.
  • Find other believers. You were not meant to walk this road alone. Seek out a local church where the Bible is taught faithfully and Christ is honoured. Fellowship matters.
  • Expect a battle. The Christian life is not without struggle. You will still face temptation, doubt, and difficulty. But you no longer face them alone — the Holy Ghost now dwells within you as your guide and comforter.
  • You will stumble — and that is not the end. Christians are not perfect people. They are forgiven people. When you sin, confess it honestly to God and receive His forgiveness. He is faithful and just to forgive (1 John 1:9).
  • Tell someone. If there is a trusted person in your life — a family member, a friend, a pastor — tell them what you have decided. Confessing faith openly is part of what it means to follow Christ.

The road ahead is not always easy, but it is the only road that leads to life. Jesus Himself said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6) You have chosen that way. Walk it with confidence, with humility, and with the sure knowledge that He who began a good work in you will carry it through to completion.

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6

You are no longer alone. You are no longer without hope. You are now a child of God — not because you deserve it, but because He is gracious beyond all measure, and His mercy endures forever.

Welcome to the family.
